Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Booked tickets home, learnt some new songs on the guitar... Still can't play an F too well, dreaming of owning a Fender Mustang... Stuff's good. It's a sunny day, which makes all the difference, too.

  6. 'F' is a tough one - need to build up strength in your index finger.

It's easier to play that shape further up the neck.
Play it on 5th fret and that's 'A'.
Use the 'B' shape there and that's 'D'.
Move that shape up 2 frets and you're on 'E', then back down to the 5th fret for 'D' again.

You can now play a ton of 3 chord tricks (e.g. "Hang on Sloopy", "Twist and Shout", "Stand" by REM) around the 5th-7th fret. Practice there and build up the strength.

  9. Wish I could experience this "sun" thing. All we get around here is this white fluffy cold stuff.
